Before the recent Rocky Mountain Scottish Terrier Club Halloween party, Wen ordered a life-sized wheaten-colored plush Scottie online to be Morticia Addams in our wagon full of Addams Family characters. My sister, Molly was originally supposed to wear a wig and a black dress to be Morticia, as I was Gomez, but riding in our wagon freaked her out, so Wen had to come up with a Plan B stand-in for Molly.
Wen was excited to find a life-sized Scottie online, but when it was looking doubtful that the plush Scottie would arrive in time, she ordered another plush dog online, but it was considerably smaller. Of course, the small one arrived the day before the Halloween party, but the life-sized one didn’t show, so it was very disappointing to have to use the smaller dog as Morticia.
When we got home after the party, what was on our front porch? A big box with the life-sized Scottie in it and it would have been perfect for Morticia, but oh, well. Naturally, we Scotties had to check it out though and even Molly, who is more hesitant about new things, went right up to it as if she wanted to know “Who dat?”
