So have you heard of porch geese? People put a plastic, plaster, or concrete goose on their front porch and dress it up in seasonal outfits. It is a popular craze that swept the country in the 90’s and evidently is back.
Wen had concrete geese back in the day with an extensive wardrobe, so when she discovered the Porch Goose Club of America Facebook page several months ago, she joined and now we have a gaggle of dressed up geese at our house. Several of them are made of plaster and one is a concrete goose, and they have clothes and accessories that seem to keep multiplying.
The good thing is that the geese are basically yard ornaments and they aren’t alive, because if they were, we’d have a whole lot of honking going on at our house. As it is, once we Scotties sniffed around the geese and checked them out, we have ignored them ever since—even the ones that have ended up inside the house. As long as they don’t bother us, we won’t bother them!
