Just One Look

Back in the day, wheaten Scotties were rare and Wen had only seen pictures of them in books.  That’s why she was so excited to come across a wheaten female puppy in the Dallas area in 1980.  After confirming that the puppy was definitely a Scottie and not a Westie, she convinced her husband to take a look at the puppy and that’s all it took–just one look–and they took the puppy home.

That was the beginning of Wen’s passion for wheaten Scotties, which has only become stronger through the years, to the point where she has now had seven wheatens to two blacks, one brindle, and one black brindle.  From the first wheaten puppy, I guess that we wheaten sweeties have stolen her heart!  Thank goodness for that just one look!
