Nobody loves grooming day more than Wen. Every day, she brushes our teeth and our haircoats, but on grooming day, she gives us Scotties a super good brushing and then loads us into the car for our trip to go see Gigi, our groomer.
Why does Wen love grooming day so much? She works extra hard to get us in good condition to go get groomed and then we have a 45 minute drive to Gigi’s Groom and Board where she drops us off for several hours. Since it’s kind of far from home, Wen has to kill the time until she picks us up, so she usually goes hiking and geocaching until she gets a text to come and pick us up. Then, we have another 45 minute drive home, so basically, every grooming day is a long one. Yet, Wen looks forward to each and every grooming day. Why? Because when she picks us up, we are squeaky clean, we look gorgeous, and we smell like doggie perfume. For a little while, we are good-looking dogs and Wen knows to enjoy it as long as it lasts! After all, we Scotties like to dig in the dirt, eat nasty stuff, play in the mud, and roll in stink out in the yard and our perfectly groomed haircoats and sweet-smelling doggie perfume only last so long!
We were good doggies at the groomer, so how about a treat?!
