Digger Dog

Yes, I’m a terrier, so that means I’m a digger dog.  I LOVE to dig holes in our backyard, which drives Wen crazy!  As a matter of fact, I love to dig so much that I’ve taught Molly and Sadie to dig and now all three of us constantly dig holes and by spring, our yard should look like Swiss cheese!

We got several inches of snow last night, but that doesn’t deter us Scotties from digging and of course I got caught digging again first thing this morning.  Oh, well, getting in trouble won’t stop me from digging because it’s instinct for terriers to dig, since we’re earth dogs.  That’s my excuse and I’m sticking to it!

An Alien Valentine’s Monster?

Somebody said that there’s an alien Valentine’s monster on the loose….

Nah, there’s no such thing as an alien Valentine’s monster!

But what if an alien Valentine’s monster did sneak into our house?!

I guess he can stay as long as he doesn’t eat all of our dog treats!

Go Figure….

Sometimes we Scotties happen to look around and find something random very intriguing.  When our curiosity is piqued, we stare at whatever we find so captivating is not that interesting anymore.

For example:  this morning, Wen noticed that I was watching TV as I sat on the couch and that Sadie was staring at me from our dog bed in front of the fireplace.  She was sitting up, transfixed, watching me watch TV as if it was the most fascinating thing ever.

Normally, things like pesky squirrels who run across the top of our fence in the backyard capture our attention.  Who would have thought that Sadie would find my TV watching that riveting?  Go figure….

Super Bowl Sunday

Yesterday was Super Bowl Sunday.  Of course, we watched the big game, even though our favorite team came nowhere close to making the playoffs, because there’s nothing to get you revved up in the middle of winter like some football action!

Clean and Fluffy

We visited Gigi, our groomer, yesterday and now we Scotties are all clean and fluffy.  Wen likes to take pictures of us right after we’re groomed and before we go out in our backyard and get all dirty or get wet in the rain or snow, so she has some decent pictures of us looking good.  Of course, our clean and fluffy looks don’t last too long, because dogs will be dogs and we’re not all that concerned with looking good when there are important things like holes to be dug in the yard, grass to pull up with our teeth, and dirt to be eaten, so enjoy our perfumed clean and fluffy looks while they last!

What Happened?

This isn’t our usual dog bed!  What happened to our regular dog bed?  This is more like a crate pad and it’s smaller.  Our dog bed is WAY more comfortable.  Where’s our regular dog bed?

Sometimes Wishes Come True….

They say that if you wish really hard, your wish may come true.  I’m here to tell you that may not necessarily be the case though.  When it comes to people food, even if we Scotties wish really hard, we don’t normally get to partake, because Wen knows that dog food is formulated just for us canines and people food is not the best nutrition for dogs.  There are a few veggies that are exceptions though and we would never hesitate to snarf up some dark leafy greens!

The fact that we don’t normally eat people food doesn’t prevent us from keeping an eye out for falling tasty treats though and Wen knows that if she leaves any food within reach of Scottie noses on the coffee table, it won’t be there for long, because we Scotties are happy to provide a speedy clean up service!

Any tasty morsel of food that we might find is an unexpected treat and if it would happen to be a piece of cheese or a cookie, even better and who knows, maybe some day if I wish hard enough, a piece of a cheeseburger might magically appear, because sometimes wishes do come true!

I wish I had a cheeseburger, I wish I had a cheeseburger….
