Happy Cinco de Mayo!!!

So, I’m playing piano at the cantina today.  It’s Cinco de Mayo and it’s time for a little festive music to celebrate the occasion.  Happy Cinco de Mayo, everybody!!!  Have fun, stay safe, and watch out for those tasty margaritas!

Here I am at the cantina.

Any requests?

Hey, wait a minute–this is ice water!

Wet Noses and Haircoats

It’s a cold and rainy Monday and it’s dreary, dreary, dreary outside.  Every time we Scotties go out, we get pelted with rain and by the time we come back inside, we are pretty much soaked.

The rain doesn’t seem to affect our wanting to cruise the yard though and that’s why Wen has to towel us off after our outside jaunts.  If we find something interesting while we’re out in our backyard, we’re hesitant to come inside when she calls us.  We Scotties aren’t afraid of a little rain and we can nose around outside with wet noses and wet haircoats just as well.

Kentucky Derby Day

Well, since we celebrate practically everything at our house, we couldn’t let Kentucky Derby Day go by without dressing for the occasion.  Even though mint juleps are a tradition at the Derby, they weren’t a part of our celebration, but for some reason, every time Wen took a photo of us Scotties in our Derby Day finery, Sadie flopped down and she looked as if she had enjoyed one mint julep too many!

DO NOT DISTURB!

This is one of those days when it’s cold and rainy outside.  What do we Scotties do on days like this?  We sleep in of course, so DO NOT DISTURB!

Chillers

We Scotties love our chill time, because we are into relaxing in a major way.  Sometimes our chill time gets interrupted, but that doesn’t stop us from immediately resuming our chill positions.  As a matter of fact, we can be back asleep in in just a few moments, since we are practically professional chillers!

Hey, you’re interrupting our chill time!

Snoozers

Dogs are real snoozers.  Yep, we sleep a lot and most of the time you can find us Scotties stretched out on the couch, the loveseat, or on our dog bed in front of the fireplace when Wen is in our living room.  It’s the same thing when she’s upstairs:  there we are, stretched out on the carpet until we fall asleep and even better, lying where the sun streams in through the window, soaking up the sun.  Snoozing in the sun spots is just the best!

It’s pretty amazing that we dogs can nap throughout the day and still sleep a good eight hours through the night.  I guess that’s why we have so much energy to chase after those pesky squirrels in our backyard!

Did I just sleep through my favorite show?

Nap Weather

It’s another crazy Colorado Monday.  The clouds moved in and the sun disappeared, the temperature dropped quickly, and it may be spring, but we’re expecting snow.  Earlier this morning, there were high winds that were blowing our Scottie beards when we were outside, but now it is eerily still and dark.  In other words, it’s perfect nap weather.

Molly: Hey, you interrupted my nap!

Another Snow Day

So we had another snowstorm overnight.  We Scotties spent the day enjoying our usual routine of switching off cruising around in the snow and spending quality time snoozing by the fireplace.

What is the perfect companion for another snow day?  A good book!

I love this book! Me too!
