A Cookie is a Cookie!

We Scotties get our heartworm preventative every month and today was no exception.  Those Heartgard meaty treats taste good and every time Wen gets a package out of the pantry in order to give us our heartworm preventative, we get as excited as we do when she gives us a Milk-bone treat.

Wen likes to say “Who wants a cookie?” when  she is about to give us a treat and whether it is a normal treat or heartworm preventative, it really doesn’t matter, because to us Scotties, a cookie is a cookie!

Molly: Did you say “cookie?”

Who’s That Pretty Girl?

Who’s that pretty girl?  Why that’s Molly and she looks exceptionally nice because we Scotties just got home from being groomed.  Our groomer, Gigi, is the best and she really makes us look fabulous!

Enjoy it while it lasts.  Pretty soon we’ll be out in the yard, rolling in the dirt!

Goofy Face

People aren’t the only ones who can make a goofy face.  Dogs can make a goofy face too.  We can look silly, roll our eyes, and have a goofy expression like the best of them. We’re just more subtle than people, so you have to be on the lookout, or you might miss a good doggie goofy face!

My Bestie

My sister, Molly, is my bestie.  We are the same age and as a puppy, she showed up about three months after I did, so we’ve basically been together our entire lives.  Molly and I may not snuggle together like Sadie and I do, but we definitely get each other.  Our big wire cages (our houses) where we sleep are next to each other, so we’ve spent our lives looking at each other and and knowing we’re both right there.

There’s something comforting in having a sister who has always been there.  It’s as if we have an understanding and it’s our bestie bond.  After we lost our big sister,  Sunny, a couple years ago, Molly and I have become even closer.  Yep, she’s my bestie and she’s the best!

Lookin’ At You!

Not much gets by us Scotties.  We are always on the lookout, because we’d hate to miss out on anything that goes on.  Yep, we Ike to be in the middle of everything, so you’ll always find us lookin’ at you.  Just when you think we’re asleep or not paying attention, think again, ‘cause we’re lookin’ at you!

Truth in Advertising

Like my new bandanna?  We Scotties are such treat hounds that we would be big fat doggies if we got a treat every time we wanted one.  When Wen saw this bandanna in a store she immediately thought of us, because the sentiment is so true.  If we could talk, we would definitely try saying this to hint around that we wanted a treat.  No harm in advertising our desires and in this case there is definitely truth in advertising!

Record Breaker

So this is what it’s like living in Colorado—just when it was starting to green up and the daffodils were blooming, we got a cold snap and was it ever a record breaker!  Yep, we were at eleven degrees yesterday morning, which was the coldest temperature ever on that day and when we Scotties went outside, it felt more like January than Easter week.

What’s a Scottie to do?  Get out the winter accessories!

A Dreary Day

Today has been a mixture of cloudy skies, high winds, and tiny icy snow pellets.  Basically, it’s been a dreary day and we Scotties are ready for the sun to peek out.  Meanwhile, we will just have to snuggle up on our blankets on the couch and pass the time until it’s sunny again and we can go out in the yard and catch some rays.  At least we’re not having snowstorms like they are up in the mountains right now.  I suppose dreary isn’t so bad…..
