Happy 2018, everybody!!!  Hope that this year turns out to be the best ever!

It’s New Year’s Eve and I’m working, playing the piano at the Bark & Growl Pub.

The staff is the A team tonight.  Molly is the leash check girl and Sunny’s the barktender.

Hmmm…a little bubbly is what we need.

My sister, Molly, is the cutest Scottie!  Her adorable puppy photos on the Internet captured Wen’s heart and when she first saw Molly in person, Wen absolutely had to bring her home .

From that day on, one of Molly’s nicknames has been “Pretty Girl” and she definitely grew up to live up to her nickname and become a gorgeous dog.  Her sweet face and charming personality now seem to capture everyone’s heart and Wen wouldn’t trade her for anything!

Who’s cuter than Molly?  Nobody I know!

Where Wen used to live, Kirby, Sunny, and Frosty spent a lot of time lounging on the couch.  The blanket on top of the couch cushions was a permanent fixture, so they could jump up and settle on the couch whenever they wanted to.

Things changed when they moved to our present house.  The living room furniture was brand new and Wen decided that the couch and love seat were “no Scottie zones.”  That only lasted a few weeks though, because the Scotties were used to lounging on the furniture and Wen grew tired of constantly chasing them off.  She went out and bought quilted couch protectors and as soon as they were installed, all three Scotties staked their claims on the furniture that had been off-limits.  (Score one for the Scotties!)

By the time that I arrived in town, the couch and love seat were constantly dog-occupied and as soon as I grew big enough, I tried to jump up on the couch what seemed as though a million times, until I eventually made it up there to join the others.

It was a proud day for me when I finally sat on the couch next to the big dogs (much to their dismay) and I have to admit that I haven’t missed a day of lounging on the couch ever since.  After all, it is my favorite spot in the house.

Well, it seems as though our much anticipated Christmas is over for another year.  Now, we Scotties are basically enjoying the Christmas afterglow, snacking on new treats and playing with (chomping and ripping apart) our new toys.

Hopefully, everyone had a memorable day spent with family and friends.  As for now, as we continue to feel the Christmas spirit and appreciate our festive decorations, it’s on to the next holiday….
