I love snow, but this is getting ridiculous. It’s time for us Scotties to quit plowing paths and start digging holes. Come on, Spring, do your thing!

Sometimes, Sadie surprises everyone. Just when you think that she is a little devil dog, she proves what a good girl she can be.
Wen took her to a rehab center/nursing home to visit a friend and Sadie was such a good girl that she impressed everyone. Not only did she sit on Wen’s lap for the entire visit, but she let strangers pet her and she deserved all of the compliments that she received during the visit.
I guess you just never know. Sometimes the dog who normally is in trouble the most comes through like a little trooper. Way to go, Sadie!

I got a new gator toy and it’s a crunchy toy–my favorite! I haven’t had a new gator toy in what seems like forever and this one is special, because it has two different sounding squeakers and a crunchy bottle inside too, which means a variety of chomping fun times for me!
Look out, everybody! This gator was made for Riley and don’t you even think about trying to swipe my new gator!

I finally figured out why I was the only one of us Scotties to get a bath the other night. Wen was taking me to the Tartan Days festival in Longmont, Colorado, to work in the Rocky Mountain Scottie Rescue booth.
Wen’s friend and her Scottie rode along with us to the festival and we spent several hours in the Scottie club booth with other members and their dogs, meeting the public. We Scotties got petted by lots of people while our owners talked to everyone about Scotties and Scottie Rescue. The people who stopped by to see us were really nice and we got some really great compliments too!
The day had gone well: the weather was perfect, we Scotties behaved well, and we met some awesome people. All in all, it was a successful day for Scottie Rescue at the Tartan Days festival and we were happy to have done our part to help contribute to the success.

The other night, Wen was busy in the kitchen, making all kinds of preparations for something. The next thing I knew, I was sitting in the sink getting a bath. The warm water from the hose felt good, so I didn’t try to escape. I just sat there, getting a shampoo and rinse. Before long, Wen towel dried me and I was running around with all three of my sisters chasing me.
By that time, I thought that I was home free, but then Wen used a hair dryer on me and brushed me until I was looking stylin’! The only perplexing thing was that why did I get sink time with a bath and brush and no one else did?

Sink Time
Oh, whoa, we got snow! Where did all the green grass go?
Our backyard has turned to white. What a pretty frozen sight!
I love snow, I am a big fan. There’s enough to make a snowman.
Fluffy flakes, light as a feather. So much for our spring-like weather!!

Sniff, sniff, sniff. Something smells good! Sniff, sniff, sniff. That is one sweet smell coming from the kitchen. Sniff, sniff. Could it possibly be cookies baking? Sniff, sniff, sniff, sniff, sniff. All of a sudden, I’m REALLY hungry!
Sniff, sniff. Darn it, if it’s cookies I’m smelling, we Scotties won’t get any, but maybe we’ll get a treat instead! Sniff, sniff, sniff. In the meantime, sniff, sniff, my nose is LOVING that tempting smell! Sniff, sniff, sniff. M-m-m-m!

We Scotties have been enjoying playing outside in the warm weather, so I thought that I would write a poem to honor my favorite time of year.
RILEY’S ODE TO SPRING
I love Spring, Spring is fun! We get lots of extra sun.
Skies are blue, grass is green, lots of birdies can be seen.
Warmer weather will occur. Sun feels good on doggies’ fur.
Nice to play throughout the day. Spring’s my favorite, have to say!
The End
Now that it’s Springtime, the birdies will be tweeting up a storm and soon the butterflies will happily flutter by. Well, at least most of them!

Sunny got to go visit Wen’s friend the other day and she made quite an impression. First, she went exploring around the house and then she jumped up on Wen’s friend’s lap to be petted. Finally, she found a spot by the front door where she could watch what was happening outside while Wen and her friend chatted.
Then, all of a sudden, out of nowhere, an awful smell wafted though the room. Sunny evidently had just had a huge gassy attack, which made Wen and her friend wrinkle up their noses, make horrible faces, and then laugh hysterically!
Sunny would have been the perfect guest, except for her one odiferous flaw, but she was certainly entertaining and great comic relief!

“Lady and the Tramp” is my favorite story. All of the characters are so fun and they are exactly like their dog breeds. Of course, I like Jock, the Scottie, the best!

What? I’m reading my favorite story.

I LOVE the part when they eat the spaghetti!!!

Some parts make me sad though.

All this reading has made me tired. Enough reading for today. Time for a nap.
