We were enjoying the 4th of July holiday when all of a sudden it started to thunder. In no time at all, it got dark, the rain kicked in, and the storm grew in intensity. Then, you could hear the pings and pops of hail on our roof and against the windows. We Scotties had just been outside and Sunny was still cruising the yard when the hail revved up and Wen had to quickly go and get her inside.
The hail banging against our house got so loud that we all had to look out our patio door and it was collecting on the grass and on our deck. What happened to our nice 4th of July afternoon? Well, it had a big hail delay, but the storms rolled through and eventually, it cleared up for the fireworks displays. Who would have thought that we’d be watching a big old hail storm on the 4th?!
