Our backyard is finally nice and green and it has a variety of bushes and flowers that Wen has planted over the years. We Scotties constantly like to go sniffing around the bushes and they are even more interesting to nose around now that they have all of their leaves. Two lilac bushes in particular are Wen’s favorites, but they have struggled each spring due to severe rainstorms and hailstorms and they have barely produced any of the fragrant blooms that she likes. This year though, has been the exception, because all of a sudden, we have all kinds of lilac blooms and I guess that you could say that we finally have the sweet smell of success!
