Well, it seems that all of us Scotties have Frito feet. That’s right, our paws smell like corn chips.
Dogs only sweat from their paws and since there is not a lot of air circulating between our toes, the moisture leads to a build-up of bacteria, that just happen to give off a yeasty odor, which explains the corn chip smell. The bacteria are totally natural, so our Frito feet are nothing to worry about.
In a way, we dogs are lucky, because humans have to deal with body odor, but we only have smelly feet which, come to think of it, smell like a yummy snack, so I’ll take my Frito feet any day!
