Meltdown

We’re having a huge meltdown here in Denver.  No, we’re not emotionally overwhelmed, the warm sunny post-snowstorm weather is melting the snow outside into a slush fest.

My sister, Sunny, is particularly happy because the melting snow has revealed a couple of disgusting piles in the backyard that didn’t get picked up during the storm and she can snack on them until Wen catches her in the act.

There is water pouring out of the drainpipes from our roof gutters and one of them has created a little stream on the side of our house for us Scotties to splash through.  Even better than that though, are the nifty muddy spots that pop up as the snow melts where we have previously dug holes or torn up the grass.  Wen will be really “pleased” to clean up all of the muddy paw prints that we track into the house from playing in the mini mud pits.

In other words, after each snowstorm, we have a meltdown (and this one is a doozy), which provides us Scotties with free entertainment.  Let the good times roll!
