2013

2013 was a bittersweet year.  It was the year that I was born and when I flew all by myself from Dayton, Ohio, to my new home in Colorado where I met my brother, Kirby and my sister, Sunny just a few months after they had lost their rescue Scottie sister, Frosty Froofers to brain tumors.

Sadly, we lost Kirby to bladder cancer only a few short months after I arrived, which was devastating for us.  Shortly after though, Wen, her friend, Sunny, and I traveled to Great Bend, Kansas, to pick up Molly, who would be Sunny’s and my new sister.

Molly was only three weeks younger than me, so we would bond and become besties as we grew up under Sunny’s watchful eyes.  She was seven years older than Molly and me, so Sunny was kind of like our new Scottie mom.

2013 was definitely an eventful year for our Scottie family with all the changes, but as I said, although Molly and I had found our forever home, there were heartbreaking losses, so it was bittersweet.
